Duck Derby 2025

The Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation is on a mission to get kids of all ages outside and active.

On July 18th at 6 pm, the Foundation will launch 5,000 rubber ducks into the pool at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center. The first 10 ducks to be randomly plucked from the water will win great prizes, including the grand prize of $1,000.

This is the second annual Rockville Rubber Ducky Derby. In 2024, the event allowed the Foundation to provide $25,000 towards the renovations of the outdoor recreation pool at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center. This City recreation facility is the most heavily used in Rockville.

We are thrilled to report that nearly 1,000 ducks have already been adopted in 2025! You can support of the Rockville Rubber Ducky Derby by adopting an adorable rubber duck today. Each duck represents a contribution which will be used to help send kids to camps and other activities and create lifelong memories, regardless of their families' ability to pay.

One entry in the raffle costs just $5 or get 6 ducks for $25.

The winners will be announced at the event but do not need to be present to win.

After the duck derby, the rubber ducks will be reused by another organization.
